Save the Date: GoldStars Tribute Wall at Pride Park

GoldStars Wall

The City of Taylor Mill is proud to announce the GoldStars Tribute Wall, a traveling memorial honoring heroes of the Gulf War, Iraq War, and Afghanistan War, will be visiting Pride Park in Taylor Mill, KY from Friday, May 4, 2018 through Monday, May 7, 2018.  The purpose of the GoldStars Tribute Wall is to bring healing to Veterans, and the family and friends of those who died or who remain missing as a result of war. It is our hope that the memorial will help heal some of the wounds of war, and help educate the community about the Gulf War, Iraq War, and Afghanistan War, and its impact on our nation and our Veterans.

The GoldStars Tribute Wall will be open to the public, 24 hours a day beginning with setup on the 4th of May, through disassembly on the 7th of May.  Within its time at Pride Park, we will hold daily events, which will include among other things an Opening and Closing Ceremony.

The GoldStars Tribute Wall project is also seeking volunteers who are interested in providing security, guidance, and emotional support to visitors during the duration of its visit at Pride Park, which means we also have many volunteer opportunities for anyone wanting to be more intimately involved in the project.  The opportunities are endless for those of you wishing to be involved. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign-up at this website:

We anticipate the GoldStars Tribute Wall will bring thousands of individuals to our community, who wish to find a name, or a few names, that are very special to them. For all who visit, it is a moving experience. For more information about the GoldStars Tribute Wall visiting the City of Taylor Mill, please contact me at 859.581.3234 or via email at

In honor of and on behalf of ourselves and all of the men and women of the Armed Forces of the United States who served, both past and present, we thank you in advance for any consideration you may give this request.
