Parks and Recreation
The Taylor Mill Parks and Recreation Department provides positive recreational, social and fitness opportunities for community members of all ages.
We offer the following amenities:
- Pride Park
- Park Place Community Center
- Community events
Pride Park and the Park Place Community Center are maintained by Taylor Mill’s Maintenance Department. Community events are organized by our Recreation Committee.
Pride Park is an 80-acre recreational area built in 1999 that offers spectacular views of rolling hills and deep ravines. Much of the park was originally a sheep farm. Two family cemeteries are still located and protected on the park grounds. About 59 acres of the park are undeveloped.
Park features include:
- Two paved walking/hiking trails and multiple unpaved trails
- Basketball court
- Open play fields
- Three covered shelters with restrooms
The covered shelters and amphitheater are available to the public to rent. View information on Pride Park Rentals.

Park Place Community Center
The Park Place Community Center is a non-smoking community building located on the grounds of Pride Park. The center is used for public events and can be rented for private business or social occasions. Click to view Park Place Community Center Information Booklet.
Taylor Mill sponsors numerous fun, entertaining and educational community events geared toward various age groups throughout the year. The events range from movie nights and holiday festivals to parades and workshops. All proceeds from community events are used for future activities.
For a list of community events, please visit the Taylor Mill calendar.
Community events are planned and organized by our Recreation Committee, a volunteer group of residents interested in promoting civic pride. The committee is staffed by Taylor Mill’s special events coordinator. If you would like to join the Recreation Committee or volunteer at a community event, please call Taylor Mill Administration during normal business hours.
