H. Lee Moening Amphitheater

H. Lee Moening Amphitheater

Pride Park came about through the hands of many people.  One key person in the design of the park shelters, creation of the basketball courts, and drawings for the park's amphitheater was Lee Moening.  Mr. Moening, a resident of Taylor Mill since 1959, retired from his 40 year engineering job in 1991.  Prior to that retirement, he served as Utility Commissioner.  He ran for City Commissioner following retirement and served 4 years for the City of Taylor Mill.  It is only fitting that Pride Park's Amphitheater be named "The H. Lee Moening Amphitheater."  We have a collection of photos that were taken during 2001 when the amphitheater was being constructed.

You are welcome to rent out the H. Lee Moening Amphitheater in Pride Park.  There are electrical outlets within the amphitheater that can be used, as well as a street lamp, for those using the facility during evening hours.  There is a rate schedule, based on the type of organization, that determines the rental fee for your particular gathering.  There is also a set of amphitheater rules that will need to be abided by, to maintain the integrity of Pride Park.  Please come by the City of Taylor Mill Administration Office, during normal business hours Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to schedule your event and to sign a rental agreement.
